THE PROBLEMS IN THE VINEYARD
Problem (P) and Consequence (C)
1 – P: Data and real-time feedback
C: Old fashioned approach to problems
2 – P: Pathogen Forecasts
C: Expensive Treatments
3 – P: Timeliness
C: Increased damage from pathogens
4 – P: Production Forecasts
C: Harvesting quality and unmanaged yield
THE IoT SOLUTION FOR THE VINEYARD: SAVE
SAVE is an advanced monitoring system for the vineyard. It is an IoT (Internet of Things) tool composed of a wireless sensor group (thermo hygrometer, leaf wetness sensor, anemometer, rainfall) and, if you request, other wireless sensors located in the field. The wireless sensor nodes are based on Auroras Technology.
The multi-sensor group and the other sensors detect environmental data in the vineyard and send them to Auroras Service Centre for processing based on reliable predictive models. The winegrower can access the data from any devices connected to internet. The predictive software warns about the favourable conditions for diseases such as downy mildew, powdery mildew and botrytis.
SAVE alerts in advance about diseases.
